An empty apartment, the underutilized walls of a community space, and many rarely seen works of art that were made by dozens of puppeteers were the impetus for OUR EYES NEED ART, a group show of 360 pieces made and collected over the course of several years. 60 pieces remained hanging in the A-Space for two months and the other 300 were viewable by the public for one night only. Roger Peet from Oregon also maade a special appearance with his shadow puppet show Noxious,which he performed three times during the event's opening.

The art fell into five rough categories: prints, posters, puppets, publications and performances. One room was dedicated to each medium, with a liberal amount of overlap. Roger Peet (Jar of Mold Shadow Theatre) performed on the first floor, surrounded by a gallery of posters for puppet events that happened in Chicago, Detroit, Providence and Philadelphia between 1999 and 2007. Roger's show, Noxious, was a psychedelic excursion into the misadventures of a U.S. Marine troop in modern day Afghanistan. The entire show fit inside of a suitcase.

The upstairs galleries featured a roomful of silkscreen, stencil, woodblock and linocut prints; a reading room lined with tiny handmade books; a gallery showcasing puppets that had appeared in various Puppet Uprising performances; and a kissing booth inhabited by Thaddeus, a twisted-lipped paper mâché denizen, on vacation from his job at the New England Aquarium.
